As of the 1st January 2011, as part of Tokio Marine’s growth strategy, Tokio Marine Global (“TMG”) is the marketing name for the business unit through which property products are offered for commercial and industrial customers. TMG is headed by Philip Wray and its business is written by the companies below, which are members of the Tokio Marine Group.In London, the TMG business unit will be a division of Tokio Marine Kiln Syndicate 1880 managed by R J Kiln & Co Limited, which will write large commercial property business*
In New York & Pasadena, the TMG business unit will be a division of Tokio Marine Management, Inc., the U.S. manager of Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Co., Ltd. (US Branch), which will write large commercial property business.
*The property and engineering business previously written by Tokio Marine Global Ltd., a U.K. company will continue to be serviced by the underwriters at Tokio Marine Kiln Syndicate 1880. Please note that the company Tokio Marine Global Ltd will be re-named as Tokio Millennium Re (UK) Limited, and will continue to write Treaty business.
